  • Infographic sharing barriers to foundation funding. Lack of staff/volunteers who know how to fundraise or write grants is 41%. Not knowing where to look for applicable funding is 38%. Long delays in payment or response from funder is 36%. Long and complicated funding applications is 31%. Lack of interest from foundations is 29%. Language is 21%. Recommendations include: Build the capacity of program staff at organizations doing trans* work to secure grants to support their work; Simplify application requirements; translate funding applications.

Shows that organizations want more networking and mentorship, and more fundraising, program strategy support. Orgs want less advocacy and community organizing support, which is more of what funders offer.
  • Infographic about overall global trans* funding. Globally 1 in 5 trans* organizations had no funding in 2013. In some regions even fewer organizations were funded. Regions most likely to have foundation funding include Eastern Europe and Eurasia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and North America.

  • Infographics shows that among organizations which serve most or all transwomen, independent organizations are 2.6 times more likely to have leadership that represents their constituents. 45% of organizations that serve most or all transwomen are projects of another organization.
