GPP work highlighted in ICNL Global Trends in NGO Law

The latest issue of ICNL’s Global Trends in NGO Law surveys trends affecting civic space in 2015-16.  It examines key initiatives at the regional and international levels as well as some of the successes achieved by civil society at the national level.

For the first time, this report details specific LGBT examples throughout the report including reference to the GPP “Perfect Storm” report.

ICNL’s data shows that since the beginning of 2015 states have adopted 64 restrictive laws, regulations, and other initiatives; these initiatives spanned all major regions of the world. This issue considers the common ways that countries have used the law to narrow civic space.
