This study was produced by the project On the Right Track, a collaboration between 20 women’s funds from Europe and Latin America in 2021. It aims to contribute to the considerable body of knowledge created by academics, feminist organizations, and foundations, and to give a voice to local organizations.

The research focuses on the challenges faced by feminist and LGBTIQ2+ activists, specifically how they are targeted by anti-gender and far-right groups. It aims to highlight the local organizations and groups supported by women’s funds and to expose the international coordination and funding of these far-right networks.

The study also appreciates and details the strategies activists and movements use to protect themselves, defend their rights, and advocate for women’s rights amidst extreme violence. These strategies include knowledge sharing, joint planning, secure digital tools, strategic communications, legal aid, media coordination, and promoting self-care and collective care among organizations.
