Global Philanthropy Project and LGBT+ Denmark publish Elevating Global LGBTI Rights: Recommendations for Danish leadership on global LGBTI funding. The report dives into existing funding committed by the Government of Denmark. In 2021-2022, Denmark ranked seventh among donor governments and multilaterals in global LGBTI funding, with US$ 5.8 million. 

The report also presents key recommendations for Denmark to strengthen its commitment, notably:

• Fortify Denmark’s commitment to LGBTI rights globally in Denmark’s development policy 
• Increase Denmark’s dedicated global LGBTI funding through the establishment of an LGBTI strategic initiative; increased funding to intermediary partnerships; and increased direct funding to CSOs through embassy grants 
• Mainstream LGBTI rights across existing Danish development cooperation priorities and programs
