Global Fund for Women’s Financial Reporting Manager is a key member of the Finance & Accounting Team reporting to the CFO. The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for contract/grant and fund accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, invoicing, project audits and general ledger review. In this role you will ensure compliance with funding sources, adherence to administrative guidelines, maintenance and recommend closure of project codes and closely monitor various documentation for internal and external audit readiness. This role will oversee global payments and various payment platform/technology.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned, and the duties and responsibilities of the job are subject to change without notice.

·      Serve as working contact with global payments, grant program managers and program management related to contract/grants.

·      Assist program management with budgeting, financial reporting and other administrative requirements of the contracts/grant

·      Track and monitor the status of each contract/grant through its program life cycle; and create and maintain the master contract/grant financial calendar.

·      Prepare, review, or direct all accounting entries (transactions and journals) related to contracts and restricted funds.

·      Work with Senior Accountant to enter contract/grant budgets in Adaptive Insights.

·      Review invoice/billings/payables related to contracts/grants; assist Accounting Manager with indirect cost allocation.

·      Recommend month end adjusting and closing entries.

·      Work with Sr Accountant on payments related to contracts/grants; assist with monitoring deposit entries.

·      Prepare and distribute all applicable fiscal reports related to contracts/grants.

·      Manage the preparation, review, and coordination of contract/grant related audit work.

·      Provide training & workshops to all grant stakeholders on how to more efficiently and effectively manage their respective grants in following board policy, granting agency guidelines, and all applicable federal regulations related to special grant.

·      Attend professional development workshops and seminars to stay abreast of changes related to contracts and restricted grants.

·      Assist in processing grant disbursements and vendor invoices for payment.

·      Grant management utilizing budget/project/cost accounting for 3-5 yrs in a non profit or NGO preferred.

·      Ability to understand complexities of governmental contracts and foundation grants.

·      Strong follow through on open items in each grant

·      BA degree in Business, Economics or Finance related field minimum three years of experience in non-profit accounting and grant management. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

·      Reporting and grant experience specifically in a NGO setting is a plus.

·      Knowledge of fund accounting and cost funding procedures.

·      Knowledge of federal, state, and local accounting and budgeting principles and procedures.

·      Working knowledge of GAAP.

·      Demonstrated working experience in Salesforce and/or Sage Intacct is a plus.

  • Working experience with Salesforce and Sage Intacct

·      Proven Experience working with enterprise level cloud-based systems.

·      Open to learning new technology.
