LBQ Highlighted Research
The purpose of this study is to get a snapshot of the LBTQ movement in terms of the technical and financial partners operating in West Africa and Cameroon at the time of data collection (year 2021), and highlight the various issues surrounding funding agenda and programs as well as the challenges faced by LBTQ organizations and communities when it comes to technical and financial support.
GBQ Highlighted Research
This report documents that only one percent (1%) of global LGBTI funding is focused on Francophone countries. LGBTI civil society across the French-speaking world consists of a majority of young organizations. These groups struggle to develop their capacities and mobilize their communities. Available funding is often inaccessible to Francophone organizations due to requirements related to experience, budget size, reporting capacity, and the language of calls for proposals from grantmaking and development agencies.
Trans Highlighted Research
This report analyses the history, extent and nature of laws around the world which,
through their existence and/or application, criminalise transgender and gender diverse
people. The purpose of this report is to identify these laws, highlight particular examples of their enforcement, and examine how their mere existence renders trans and gender diverse people criminals by virtue of their gender identity and/or gender expression.
Intersex Highlighted Research
Many surveys on the impact of Covid-19 were developed and launched after the beginning of the crisis, but even when they addressed areas that are of particular concern for intersex people and their families, the still prevailing lack of awareness about intersex people and intersex lives makes it challenging for these surveys to collect meaningful data or to collect data at all. As OII Europe, with the support of the European Intersex Community, we therefore set out to create a questionnaire that would help to gather more detailed information about important areas of the lives of intersex people and their families in the times of Covid-19.

GPP, Égides, and other partners joined virtually to discuss the main perspectives, challenges, and recommendations for funding LGBTQI francophone communities.
Trans Highlighted Event
GPP and co-hosts explored innovative solutions and real-time examples to meet the challenges related to the anti-gender movement through resource resistance and support for trans movements around the world.
Intersex Highlighted Event
The Trans and Intersex Funding Working Group of the Global Philanthropy Project organized a workshop to provide grantmakers with insights on how intermediaries function and how they can help shift donor-grantee power dynamics.
